Lumina Vitae was a series of cross generational art project comissioned by TRCL (The Rice Company Limited).
Archival photography, and generative imagery technologies were used to create images based on with memories and stories of 20 seniors interviewed by Payal Nayar of Melting Pot Podcast.
In the above mixed reality image, Mr Ellil M Lakshmanan shared a story of him playing in the drains at the site of old Kallang Airport before the National Stadium was built, whilst living near the old Kallang Gasworks.
For me, anachronism is a bridge linking our past cultural foundation, present perception, and future gazing with whimsy, romance, and speculative lens.
