Fragments of stories about Singapore from the Malay Annals appear on a LED display, intervening a fragment of mythological storytelling into our urban space. The LED strip inserts an urban object typically associated with signboards and stock market tickers.
It folds the legendary past into our contemporary moment, rendering mythology as a continuous, infinite stream.
I recount the history of Singapore through psychogeography, mythologies destruction as a speculative and spectral surface where past ambitions and foreclosed futures converge.
